We’re done testing to find out which of the registry cleaners is best. There is a reason that we wanted to find a product that would automate the process in speeding up our PC’s. I’ve included this video below. While I have a deep admiration for the technician showing you how to fix some problem areas on a computer, my only comment is that if you have several issues with your computer, then it would take days, months, even a year to find, isolate, research, and fix each one. After viewing the video, I’m sure you’ll see why we should automate this process. Enjoy:

Okay, so we’re now at the testing phase of this project as we’ve found five registry fix products to test. How I’m going to test this is to take a snapshot of my machine with Norton Ghost, and then I’ll install each software product one at a time. I’ll be using an HP laptop running Windows XP, a Toshiba laptop running Vista Ultimate, and a Dell desktop running Windows 7.
As a computer technician, I want to make sure that the results are hardware and software independent. During the testing we’ll make record of how many instances of system and registry issues are uncovered, and how long it takes to clean the system.
What we also like is that the five products we’ve decided to test all have free scans when you download the software. We’ll be back in a day or two to let you know about our results.

After doing a little analysis, I now know why I need a product that would do an advanced registry fix. Even as a computer technician I did not realize precisely how many things can go screwy thru each day of use on my PC, work or at home.
Some of the major issues I found were registry and program related :
- Windows Installer Errors
- ActiveX Errors
- ActiveX Control problems
- Windows Startup Errors
- Windows Explorer Errors
- Windows Media player Errors
- lsass.exe , svchost.exe &other exe Errors
- Windows Operating System Problems
- Registry Errors
- DLL Errors
- Runtime Errors
- IExplore and System32 Errors
- System Crashes
- Slow PC Performance
- Chkdsk Issues
- Computer Freezing
- Internet Explorer Errors
- Javascript Errors
- Dr Watson Errors
- Hardware Malfunction
- Blue Screen
And that’s just the start of the list! Now that I know what can go wrong, the final product must address those issues, and it would be great if there was a free trial involved. I’ll update you as we start to whittle down the choices. We’re going to get the products down to the top 5, and then come up with the best product.

Hi, George Harrington here. I was deathly tired of my PCs running slow. I have computers running XP, Vista, and Windows 7, and I've started this blog where as a computer technician, I can do the testing and evaluating, and then we can share best practices for making our computers fast again!
